- Once upon a time I bought a modem with an RPI chipset, which I have now disposed
- of :-). However, life without a modem was intolerable, and therefore I bought a
- 28,800 internal fax/modem. It has a rockwell chipset, supports v34, MNP5,
- v42.bis etc etc, and seems to work ok. There is even a decent manual detailing
- all of the commands and with a full technical specification. My problem is that
- I haven't a clue who it is made by :-)
-
- It doesn't say on the box, ANYWHERE in the manaul...wierd eh? There is a number
- on a yellow sticker on the box:
-
- 50618602
- 95-473-131731
-
- But that means nothing to me.
-
- Anyone out there know what I have bought? I am using demon internet - advice on
- a good init string would be cool :-)
-
- Thanks,
-
- Simon
